Just realized I've pulled over 10,000 feet of 12/2 in my career
It hit me when I was finishing a basement rewire in Akron and had to order another 250-foot roll. Anyone else ever stop and count something like that?

Man, that's a lot of wire. I always buy the 250 foot rolls for basements now, saves a trip back to the supply house.

Used to think buying the big rolls was a waste of money. Then I ran short on a job and lost a whole hour driving back and forth. Now I see the extra wire as cheap insurance for my time. You're totally right, it just makes sense.

My last job in Cleveland needed 500 feet just for the kitchen. That taught me to always overbuy by 20 percent. The math works out better than running out.
