... and my buddy literally threw his into a drawer after the second jam and bought a cheap solder sucker for like $10. He said the fancy one was harder to clean than his actual projects. I watched him spend like an hour trying to unclog the thing with a tiny drill bit and it just snapped. Now he just uses the manual pump and swears by it, even though he looks like a caveman doing it. Honestly, sometimes the simple stuff just works better without all the hype.

@the_fiona and your buddy are totally right about that. There's something about a manual solder sucker that just works, even if it feels like you're using a tool from the 1800s. It never jams and a quick clean with some solder wick keeps it going forever, no tiny drill bits needed.
