Vent: a tiny capacitor on a 2018 MacBook Air took me 4 hours to find
I was sure the board was dead after a liquid spill, but the whole time it was just C5210 on the power rail. My microscope battery died halfway through, so I had to finish with a cheap loupe. Anyone else have a 'simple' repair that turned into a huge hunt?

Your microscope battery died halfway through?

Tell me about it, mine died right as I spotted the coolest cell, didn't it?

Nope, never had that exact issue with a microscope. But phones dying at the worst possible moment? Absolute classic Murphy's Law right there.
