Got a door lock that keeps dropping out of sync on the 3rd floor
Been fighting with a GAL door lock on a 1992 Otis in a midtown office building. It drops out of sync maybe twice a week. I swapped the lock, checked the wiring, adjusted the cam. Still does it. Anyone run into this with these older GAL units? Got something I'm missing?

Had a similar issue on a 1994 Otis in a 30-story tower. The problem wasn't the lock itself. It was the door closer. The closer was too strong so the door slammed shut. That vibration knocked the lock out of sync every few days. Backed off the closer spring a quarter turn. Problem gone. Might be worth checking your door closer adjustment. Also the latch alignment. If the latch is hitting the strike plate off-center it can cause the same dropout.

That's a solid catch with the door closer. Those Otis locks are finicky enough without getting rattled around by a slamming door. Glad you got yours sorted out.
