Finally figured out why my mask was slipping during chemical peels all winter
Turns out I was skipping the primer step on oily winter skin because I figured it was already dry enough, but after three peels with uneven coverage I tried a thin layer of a hydrating toner first and the peel stuck way better, has anyone else had that issue with the cold dry air messing with their prep?

Question whether that many steps really matter for a mask peel. I've done peels in winter with just a quick splash of water and never had slippage issues. Honestly feel like some of this prep talk gets blown out of proportion online.

Yeah but you're talking about winter. Winter is actually easier for peels. Low humidity means the product sticks better and dries evenly. Try doing that same quick splash in July when it's muggy out. Your mask will be sliding off your face before you even get it spread. I've had that happen. Not fun peeling a mask off that's already puddling in your sink. The prep matters more in certain conditions.
