Had a client walk out mid-service last Tuesday and it threw my whole week off

Honestly, it was a standard 75-minute facial, but about 20 minutes in she started getting really tense. I asked if the pressure was okay and she just said 'I need to leave' and got up. She paid for the service but left before I could even finish removing the cleanser. Tbh, it's the first time that's happened in my 8 years doing this. Has anyone else had a client just bolt like that? I keep wondering if I missed a sign.

She paid for the whole service even though she walked out? That's the part that really gets me. Most people would have argued about the bill or just left without paying. It makes me think something was really wrong, but it wasn't about you or your work. Maybe she got a bad text or remembered something awful. Don't beat yourself up over it. Some things are just out of our control.
