Hit 500 facials this week and it caught me off guard
I keep a notebook of every facial I do, not for bragging but for records. This week I hit 500 exactly, and I had to double check the number. That's five hundred faces I've worked on over 3 years at my studio in Austin. Most of those were repeat clients, which tells me I'm doing something right. It made me think how many estheticians actually track their numbers like this? Anyone else keep a count or just go by feel?

Congrats on hitting 500, that's a big milestone for sure. I'm honestly impressed you've kept a notebook for every single one, that's some serious dedication to the craft. It makes sense you'd double check the number, three years of work adds up quicker than you think. And yeah, repeat clients definitely tell you you're doing something right, that's the real measure in my opinion. I don't track my own work that way but maybe I should start, it's a good way to see your growth over time. Feels good to hit a round number like that, especially when you know it's backed by solid work.

The way you mentioned repeat clients being the real measure really stuck with me. There's this one client I have, Marcus, who's come back for 14 tattoos now and he always brings a friend along. Each time he sits in my chair he tells me about the last piece and how it's held up, which is a whole different kind of feedback than just getting a new person in. I think that kind of trust is the reason I started keeping the notebook in the first place, to remember what worked for people like him. It's not just the number count, it's seeing their names pop up again and how their skin changed over three years.
