I swear some clients treat their face like a science experiment. This one girl followed a TikTok trend and mixed lemon juice with baking soda, then called me panicking because her skin turned bright red and tight. We had to walk her through a super basic soothe routine over the phone, and the whole thing was just absurd. She learned her lesson, but man, the internet is wild.

That "science experiment" line hits home. Had a client do the exact same lemon juice mess last year. The only thing that calmed it down was telling her to use a clean washcloth with cold water, then slather on the plainest moisturizer she owned, nothing with actives. These trends make people forget skin is an organ, not a plaything.
