I finally tried that new med spa in the plaza on 5th

Walked in and the front desk girl was doing a full chemical peel on herself while checking people in. The whole lobby smelled like straight up glycolic acid. How do you even run a business like that?

Oh my god, that's wild. It reminds me of the time I saw a nail tech eating a burger while doing a pedicure. How do people think that's okay?

My cousin worked double shifts at a salon for years, @the_ruby. She told me they often only get a ten minute break if they're lucky. I can't really blame someone for eating when they can. It's not like they're touching food and feet at the same time, they use their tools. Seems like a basic need to me.

But that's still gross, @the_kelly. Even with tools, it's a hygiene thing and just looks bad to clients.
