I thought gua sha was just a fancy stone for rich people
For a long time, I saw those jade tools as a fad, something to sell to clients who wanted to feel fancy. I never offered it in my small studio in Tacoma. Then, a regular client with deep-set jaw tension brought her own in and asked me to use it during her facial. I was very careful, but after just five minutes of gentle strokes, she said her face felt looser. I was shocked. I bought a basic rose quartz roller for $25 to try on myself after long days. After three months of using it with my serum, I really do see less puffiness in the morning. It's not magic, but it's a good extra step. Has anyone else had a client show them a method that actually worked?

Honestly that stuff still seems like a placebo to me. People just want to believe their fancy rocks do something. The real work happens with your hands during the massage.
