Rant: I had to choose between a $5000 HydraFacial machine and a cheaper ultrasonic scrubber for my new spot in Tempe
I opened my own suite with a tight budget and the big debate was investing in one high-end device versus getting two decent machines. I went with the HydraFacial MD Elite because I figured clients would recognize the brand name from social media. It's been six months and while bookings are good, I sometimes wish I had the ultrasonic for a different service option. Has anyone else faced a similar tech investment choice and regretted it later?

That HydraFacial name recognition was a smart move.

Saw a thread where someone said they saved up and bought the second machine after a year.

Yeah, that's the thing, it feels like we're all just chasing the next upgrade now. I see it with phones, game consoles, you name it. People work hard for that first nice thing, and then immediately start saving for the newer version. It's like we're stuck on a treadmill, always wanting the next model even when the one we have works perfectly fine. The goalpost just keeps moving further away.
