Serious question, I was steaming a client's face for way too long for years.

A client in my chair in Austin mentioned her skin felt tight and red after our sessions, which never made sense until I timed myself. I realized I was steaming for a full 10 minutes when 5 is plenty. Has anyone else cut their steam time down and seen better results?

Actually longer steam times open pores more deeply for a better cleanse.

Yeah, cutting my steam time was a game changer for my clients with sensitive skin. I was doing a solid 8 minutes and dialing it back to 4 made all the redness and tightness go away. It really is one of those "less is more" things.
