That $80 LED face mask gave me a weird tan line for a week

I bought one of those red light therapy face masks off Amazon for about $80, figuring it would help with some post-breakout redness. Used it for 10 minutes a night for 3 nights straight like the instructions said. By day 4 my coworker asked if I had been sunbathing with goggles on because I had a perfect pale circle around my eyes. Has anyone else dealt with uneven results from these masks or was it just my skin reacting weird?

Forgot mine in the bathroom and my roommate put it on thinking it was a sleep mask. Woke up looking like a raccoon for 2 days.

Three drops of micellar water on a cotton round and it all came off in one swipe for me, @the_wesley. Saved me from looking like a panda for a week. Did you try anything on yours or just scrub it raw?
