I started drying my rasps right after wet hoof trims.

Nah, that's too much work. Rasps can handle a little water without rusting right away. Just give them a proper clean at the end of the day.

Right?! My tools would be toast...

Okay but have you met me? If I don't dry it right away, I'll totally forget to clean it later. My laziness would definitely end with a rusty rasp.
