Just saw a chart showing over 60% of lameness cases start in the foot, from a vet journal my wife left out.

What kind of foot problems are they talking about? That stat makes sense because so much weight and stress goes through there. Really shows where to focus prevention.

You're right about the weight and stress, but everyone misses the shoe design itself. Modern athletic shoes have too much cushion and support, which makes foot muscles weak. That weakness leads to problems like plantar fasciitis and fallen arches. We're basically putting our feet in casts and wondering why they get hurt. Prevention should focus on letting feet move and get strong naturally.
