A client in Chicago told me her jacket felt like a hug
She said it right after trying on a sample, holding the collar close. That one comment made me rework the whole shoulder line to keep that feeling. How do you design for comfort without losing shape?

Wasn't there a thing about Japanese design focusing on the space between the body and the cloth? That seems key. You keep the shape but let the fabric move with the person, not just sit on them. Getting that balance right is the whole trick.
