Tbh, getting into pilates for core strength totally shifted how I draft patterns now.

Honestly, the idea that "getting into pilates for core strength" changed your pattern drafting feels like confusing correlation with causation. A stronger core might make you stand differently at the cutting table, but drafting is a technical skill rooted in spatial math and fabric behavior. It seems more likely any improvement came from the dedicated focus and practice time, not the specific physical exercise. You could have taken up swimming or knitting with that same disciplined mindset and probably seen similar results in your craft. Placing the credit on pilates specifically just gives a fitness trend too much weight in a unrelated creative process.

Better posture from pilates helps @the_cameron, but practice is key.

Reading @the_cameron's take, and it's spot on. This whole trend of attributing skill gains to specific fitness fads is a Massive oversimplification. Real improvement comes from consistent practice, not just the latest trend.
