I was putting up a fence in a new subdivision over in Springfield and saw something that changed my mind
Every house had these super clean, uniform vinyl fences. I always thought they looked cheap, but after seeing a whole street of them after a nasty storm, not one was damaged. My cedar pickets would've been toast. Anyone else switch to vinyl after seeing it hold up like that?

Did you check if any of those vinyl fences had faded or gotten discolored over time? That's the trade-off I always hear about with that material. Just curious if the look holds up as well as the structure.

Yeah that "trade-off" line is a bit off. It's not really fading, it's more about dirt and mildew if you never clean it. The_ben is right that the color itself holds up pretty well.

Honestly, that fading thing seems way overblown (mine looks fine after years).
