Warning: That shiny new fence material delivery service left me in stitches.

Booked a same-day drop for a bundle of treated posts. Driver shows up with a forklift on a tiny residential street. Couldn't turn around, ended up backing into a ditch. Took four of us and a tow truck to sort it out. The whole block got a free show with their morning coffee.

Checking vehicle size seemed extra, but @robinc25 changed my mind.

That forklift on a tiny residential street is exactly why I always call ahead about vehicle size. Why do companies even send equipment that can't turn around in these neighborhoods? You gotta insist they use a smaller truck or just drop the materials at the curb. I see blocked roads all the time on my route, and it's always a hassle for everyone. A quick phone call could save you a whole morning of tow truck drama.

Sounds like a total mess, but not surprised. Companies often skip checking street layouts to save time. Saw a similar thing last year with a concrete truck stuck on a tight curve. Always ask for delivery details upfront, saves everyone the hassle.
