From skeptic to fan after a neighbor's carrot ferment
I used to assume fermenting carrots was pointless. My neighbor left a jar of her ferment on my porch. I gave it a try and was blown away by the tangy, crunchy taste. Now I want to learn how to do it myself. What tips do you have for a beginner?

Ever think fermenting veggies was just a weird trend? I used to shrug it off until my friend made me try her fermented green beans. The sharp taste and snap changed my mind fast. For carrots, use filtered water and weigh them down so they stay under the brine. Give it a week and taste it, then let it go longer if you want more tang.

Hey, just a heads up - you actually don't need filtered water if your tap water doesn't have chlorine. Plain old tap works fine if you let it sit out for a bit.
