Had to pick between two AI checkers for a weird blog post

So I was looking at this cooking blog post that felt really off, you know? It was all about 'the artisanal craft of egg boiling' and used the word 'moreover' like five times. My gut said it was AI slop, but I wanted to be sure. I had to choose between running it through a free online checker or just trusting my own feel for weird writing. I went with the checker, this one called ZeroGPT. It said there was a 92% chance it was AI-generated. The funny part is, after I looked closer, I saw the same three sentence patterns repeated over and over. The checker just confirmed what my gut already knew, but it was good to have that backup. It makes me wonder, do you guys lean more on tools or on your own sense for spotting this stuff first?

Honestly, I used to roll my eyes at those checkers, but a similar thing happened to me. Now I see they can back up a weird feeling.

My gut feeling is wrong about half the time, so I'm still not sold.

Yell at my gut feeling all the time and it’s STILL wrong about half the time too. @barbarar32 you got lucky, but I swear my gut is just trying to get me in trouble for fun. Last week it told me to skip a gas station that CLEARLY had cheaper prices, and I ended up paying an extra $4 down the road. Gut feelings are just our brains playing dice with bad odds, IMO.
