Remember when spotting a bot was actually hard?
Back in 2020, I spent a whole weekend tracking a single spam account on Twitter that was posting fake news articles. It took cross-referencing dates, checking image metadata, and a lot of coffee. Now, my feed is just a wall of obvious AI slop with that weird, soulless writing style. It's everywhere overnight. What was the first time you realized the scale of the problem?

Man, I knew it was bad when I caught myself almost replying to a comment about lawn care written in that same weirdly polite, empty style. My own brain was getting tricked for a second by a bot! That's when it hit me. It's not just spam accounts anymore, it's like the whole vibe of talking online has been replaced by this bland, helpful-sounding nothingness. Feels like we lost a secret war nobody told us we were fighting.

Nah, it's honestly not that deep. The old bots were just bad at pretending. At least the new stuff is coherent, even if it sounds a bit off. Kinda prefer it to the old spam.
