Finally got my glue-down LVP process down to under 4 hours for a 400 sq ft room

For years I'd spend a whole day on a room that size, constantly stopping to check my lines and fight with boards. The change came after a job in Tempe last summer where the homeowner needed it done in one shift. I started using a laser level to snap my chalk lines first, and I switched to a 100 lb roller I got from a supply house. Now I can lay the full floor without second-guessing, and the adhesive sets way more even. What's your go-to trick for speeding up a glue-down install without cutting corners?

That laser line trick is a game changer. I also found that pre-cutting a bunch of starter boards for the next row while the glue is wet saves a ton of time fumbling around later.

Pre-cutting starters sounds good in theory, but it always bites me later. You get one board with a slightly off tongue or a weird factory edge and your whole pre-cut stack is useless. I'd rather deal with a little fumbling and know each piece fits right against the last one laid. That laser line is solid though, no argument there.

Totally get that, but pre-cutting saved my last job.
