Rant: LVP does not belong in bathrooms
I see this trend all the time and it puzzles me. The material isn't fully waterproof at the seams. Last job I did, we had to replace it after six months.

My old apartment had LVP in the bathroom for a year, and it seemed fine. Then I helped my friend repair water damage under his shower, and that changed my view. Now I'm more cautious about it.

Honestly nobody talks about the cleaning products messing it up. You use a bleach spray or something strong to clean the bathroom floor and it can break down that top wear layer over time. Saw it at my buddy's house, the planks near the toilet started looking dull and weird while the rest of the room was fine. That stuff isn't made for harsh chemicals, and bathrooms need those cleaners. So even if the water seal holds, your floor might still get ruined.

Wait, I gotta disagree here. My last place had LVP in the bathroom for three years with zero issues. The trick is the underlayment and sealing the seams right. I used a moisture barrier underneath and that special seam sealer glue. If water gets on it, you just wipe it up. Way better than soggy laminate or moldy carpet.
