Wasted a whole morning trying to save $20 on a vinyl plank cutter

The cheap one I bought online snapped on the second cut, so I had to run to the supply house anyway. Anyone have a cutter under $100 that actually holds up?

My old boss swore by the Roberts 10-550 cutter for years. I always thought he was just wasting money on the brand name. Then I had to finish a bathroom floor with a cheap cutter that kept jamming. Bought the Roberts that weekend. It's over your budget new, but I found a used one for eighty bucks. The thing just works, every single cut.

Oh man, @the_charles, that's the classic lesson right there! You fight with a cheap tool for one awful job and suddenly the fancy brand name makes total sense. Finding a used one for eighty bucks is a solid win, because now you get to feel smug every time it cuts perfectly without any fight.
