Overheard a customer at the farmers market say they only buy local flowers now

She told the vendor it's because imported ones often get sprayed with stuff that gives her a headache. Has anyone else had clients bring this up more lately?

I mean, I used to think that was just a weird thing people said. But then my sister got a bouquet from the grocery store and had to open all the windows, said the smell made her head pound. Now I check where they're from too.

My cousin had the same thing happen with lilies from a gas station. She said it was like someone sprayed perfume right in her face. I stick to outdoor markets now, the flowers just smell cleaner.

Opening all the windows seems like a bit much. I get a headache from strong smells too, but that's usually from actual chemicals, not grocery store flowers. Maybe your sister just got a bad batch, dakota_king3. I've bought plenty of those bouquets and they just smell like...flowers. A little weak sometimes, but not like a chemical attack.
