Was about to toss some droopy hydrangeas, but a vinegar soak perked them right up, lmao

Vinegar can mess up the soil and harm your plant later on.

Watched my friend try that vinegar trick on her hydrangeas last year. She got all excited when they stood up straight again right after. But then the soil went kinda crusty and the leaves turned pale yellow. I mean, she ended up having to change out all the dirt because it got too acidic. The plant stayed weak and never looked right again. Idk, maybe it's a quick fix but it can cause problems later.

Remember hearing about people using coffee grounds or epsom salt for quick plant fixes too. Honestly, that vinegar trick is like giving your plant a shot of caffeine, it wakes up but then crashes hard. It forces the stems to drink but totally wrecks the soil balance, like it basically fries the roots after a while. Tbh, you see the same thing with those homemade leaf shine sprays using milk or mayo, they clog the pores. Ngl, a lot of these hacks just solve the visual problem for a day while causing a bigger one you can't see yet.
