My phone died right before a huge video call and I had to get creative
I was at the Denver airport last Tuesday, waiting for a flight and about to join a 45 minute video meeting. My phone was at 15% so I plugged it into one of those public charging stations. Five minutes later, it was completely dead, not just low. I had to run to a tech kiosk and buy a portable battery pack for $40 just to get enough charge to join the call from my laptop. The whole thing made me realize how useless those airport chargers are if you're in a real pinch. Has anyone found a power bank they actually trust for emergencies like that?

Ugh, Denver airport is the worst for that. I mean, I've had my phone just stop charging at those stations too. I keep an old Anker power bank in my backpack now after a similar panic.

Yeah, read something about those airport charging spots being a real security risk too. Some tech blog said hackers can load malware onto the ports if they mess with the hardware. Makes you think twice before plugging in.
