Remember when you could just walk into a store and ask for help without a QR code?

I was at the big hardware store in Springfield last week, trying to find a specific type of pipe fitting. I must have walked the aisle three times, and the only way to get info was to scan a code on the shelf with my phone to pull up a product page. It made me think about how simple it used to be to just find a person in an apron. Does anyone else miss just talking to a human employee for basic stuff?

Wait, you had to scan a code just for a pipe fitting? That's wild to me. I'd be lost without someone to point me in the right direction. Feels like they're making the simple stuff way too hard.

Honestly, I love the QR codes. I can get the exact specs myself without waiting around for someone who might not even know.
