PSA: Free coffee from a customer who vanished

I was in line at the cafe, feeling rushed, when the person in front paid for my order. Honestly, when I looked up to say thanks, they had vanished without a sound. Has a random good thing ever felt so perfectly timed it seemed like a glitch to you?

Ugh, that would weird me out honestly. Them vanishing like that feels less like kindness and more like a strange power move. It just takes the nice connection out of the whole thing.

Right?! It feels exactly like what you're saying, @mary_brown. I had someone pay for my coffee once and then just speed-walk away, and it was so awkward!
