Shoutout to the forgotten value of browsing physical design archives
The shift toward purely digital inspiration repositories has streamlined access at the cost of the tactile, contextual understanding that fuels deeper creative connections.

That paper stock texture never translates in a scan.

My old portfolio from art school had this gorgeous linen paper that felt incredible to touch. When I scanned it for my digital archive, all that texture just vanished into a flat, lifeless image. It's frustrating because the tactile quality is half the experience, you know? I've tried adjusting the DPI and lighting, but it never captures that subtle grain. Totally feel your pain on this one, it's a universal struggle for anyone dealing with physical media. Kinda makes me wanna just keep the originals in a vault lol.

Scanners must have a secret allergy to anything with personality.
