I themed my entire meal prep around edible flowers and it backfired SPECTACULARLY

Last Sunday, I foraged a bunch of pansies and nasturtiums to make every dish look like a garden. By Tuesday, my quinoa salad was so floral it tasted like potpourri, and my soup had petals floating in it that my kid thought were bugs. I spent the whole week trying to convince my family that eating flowers is a thing, while secretly tossing most of it. Now my kitchen smells like a funeral home and I have a new respect for SIMPLE ingredients.

Mix flowers into something bland like plain yogurt to balance the flavor. Learned that after my lavender lemonade tasted like soap.
