Vent: Got kicked out of my town's green committee for questioning solar farm plans
I spoke up at a meeting about a new solar project, pointing out it would clear a lot of native trees. Right away, the chairperson cut me off and said my concerns were not helpful. Later, I got an email saying I was removed from the group for causing trouble. They didn't even let me show the maps I had, which proved the land impact. This is just like when people get shut down for not cheering every green idea. If we can't talk about the bad parts of good projects, we're not solving anything. Now, I hear others are scared to speak, too, which kills real change.

That exact thing happened to me last year. I filed a formal complaint with the town clerk and brought my maps to a regular council meeting during public comment time. Getting my evidence into the official record forced a real review, and a few other members quietly backed me up after that.
