Discovered my 1950s knob and tube wiring after a light fixture melted
Changed a ceiling light in my 1950s East York bungalow last Saturday and the old wires crumbled. Has anyone else dealt with knob and tube hiding behind modern fixtures in Toronto?

Oh man, same thing happened to me in my 1960s place last summer. The cloth insulation just turned to dust when I touched it, really freaked me out.
