Radio or roof rake for the monsoon season, which do you swear by?
I was 100% sure I had to treat my stucco with a pressure washer every two years based on what my dad always did. But last fall, I bought a cheap moisture meter and checked the wall near my hose bib, and the reading was 14%, way past the safe range. That's when I figured out I was forcing water into the cracks with the washer, making things worse. My neighbor in the South Valley told me he just uses a soft brush and a bleach mix, never a washer, and his stucco from 1998 still looks fine. Now I'm wondering, should I sell my washer or is there a proper low pressure setting that actually works for older homes like ours?
