Hey everyone, our swamp cooler is finally biting the dust and we are looking to upgrade to refrigerated air before summer hits hard. I've gotten a couple of quotes so far. The two main ones we are considering are 505 Plumbing, Heating & Cooling and TLC. TLC seems to be everywhere, but 505's quote was competitive. Has anyone used either of them recently for an AC replacement? Looking for honest reviews on their installation quality and customer service.
505 Plumbing, Heating & Cooling vs TLC for AC replacement?

Log InI highly recommend going with 505. We had them replace our ancient unit last spring and they were fantastic. What I appreciated most was that they didn't try to upsell us on a massive system we didn't need—just really honest recommendations for our square footage. The installation crew was super professional and actually cleaned up after themselves, treating our house like it was their own. You can check out their AC replacement services on their site. Definitely worth it in my book.
Seconding this! 505's techs are super polite. TLC is alright if you have a massive emergency at 2 AM since they have tons of trucks on call, but for a planned install like a full AC swap, 505 is way more detail-oriented and careful with your property.
We used TLC a while back for a plumbing issue. They did the job fine, but it felt very transactional and honestly a bit overpriced. Because they are such a massive company, you never really know which tech they are going to send to your house. For a major AC job, I'd probably lean toward a team that gives a bit more personalized attention.
