Ditch the HOA track home, bought a 1950s bungalow near Nob Hill

I picked a 1950s bungalow over a new build in Rio Rancho for the same $310k price, and after 9 months of electrical surprises and a new sewer line, I still don't regret it, but has anyone else found that older Albuquerque plumbing failures come in waves?
