My garden drip timer was set wrong for 3 summers straight

I only noticed when my neighbor pointed out my tomato plants were getting watered at 2pm instead of 6am after I complained they kept wilting, anyone else had a sprinkler timer set backwards?

Dude same thing happened to me last year, I had my drip timer set to run at noon for like two months before I figured it out. My peppers were all sad and droopy by mid afternoon every single day. Switched it to 5am and the difference was night and day, everything perked right up.

Read somewhere that most plants prefer morning water to avoid scorching in the midday heat.
