Original adobe vs modern stucco, the repair difference is huge
I patched a crack in my 1940s adobe wall last month and the mud mix was completely different from what I used on my sister's 2010 stucco house in Rio Rancho. Had to soak the adobe brick first and use a lime-based patch, took twice as long but it actually blended in. Has anyone else dealt with the older homes needing special care that the newer builds don't?

My 1950s place had lime plaster that crumbled if I even looked at it wrong, total nightmare to patch.
