That moment a neighbor showed me how to fix my own sprinkler valve for $12
My front yard sprinkler zone stopped working last month and I was about to call a repair company. My neighbor Dave from three doors down saw me staring at the valve box and came over with a simple tool. He showed me it was just a stuck solenoid diaphragm and we replaced it for 12 bucks from the Ace on Central. Has anyone else found that most sprinkler problems are way easier than they look?

Most sprinkler stuff is just cleaning or swapping a cheap part.
