Had a friend who got one of those smart controllers with the wifi app and everything. Worked great for like two months then just bricked during a storm. She ended up sitting in her backyard crying because the lawn was turning brown and she didn't know how to program the stupid thing. Her husband was out of town so she was stuck running to Home Depot at 10pm for a backup. She keeps that old manual timer in her garage now just in case.
