Was your friend's car the black one? My buddy got his truck coated last year and it still beads water like crazy.

Wait, his truck still beads water after a full year? That's insane because every spray wax I've tried gives up after a few months. I figured ceramic coatings were just a slightly longer lasting version of that. A whole year of beading means it's actually doing something totally different. Did your buddy have to do anything special to keep it working that long?
