DAE think the push for waterborne basecoat is overrated for small shops?
I switched my booth from solvent to waterborne basecoat about 8 months ago after a rep pushed it hard, and honestly the drying time killed my cycle count. I'm in Phoenix where it's dry, and I still had to run extra air movers just to get panels ready for clear, adding almost 20 minutes per job. Anyone else running waterborne in a low-volume shop and actually seeing a benefit, or did I just get sold a bill of goods?
