You said you'd be "off the tools." That's the big shift everyone misses. The stress changes from fixing things to fixing people. Your bad day stops being a leaking pipe and starts being Joe showing up late again or messing up a job you have to answer for. Is the extra cash worth trading physical problems for people problems?

Been there for sure. What helped me was setting clear rules from day one about being on time, and actually sticking to them. It meant having a tough talk or two when someone slipped up, but it saved a ton of stress later. The money is better, but you gotta be ready to manage the team, not just the work. It’s a different kind of tired at the end of the day.
