Just realized I've sprayed 943 cars at my shop in Clearwater and number 612 still haunts me
I was going through my old job sheets in the office and added up every car I've shot since I opened my bay in Clearwater 11 years ago. Hit 943 last Tuesday when I finished a rear bumper on a silver Tacoma. Here's the thing that got me: car number 612, a 2016 Accord, came back 8 months later with peeling clear on the roof line because I rushed my flash time on a Friday afternoon. I had 3 cars backed up and just wanted to get home. That one comeback cost me $1,400 in rework and the shop lost a fleet account over it. I've been way more strict about flash windows since then, even if it means telling the front desk the car won't be ready till Monday. Any of you keep a running count of jobs, and did a specific number ever teach you a hard lesson like that?
