PSA: If your paint booth filter change takes half a day, something's wrong.
Mine took forever because the new filters didn't fit right. Now I'm behind on two jobs.

Last Tuesday, I ordered filters labeled for my exact booth model. They were still off by a quarter inch, so measuring the old one wouldn't have helped. Keeping a crusty template just adds to the clutter in my small space. I make a note of the actual dimensions on the booth frame itself with a marker. That way, I can check new filters right when they arrive without digging out an old one. It saves time and avoids the guesswork.

Did you measure the old filters first? I always keep one around as a template to check new ones.

Wait, you actually keep the old crusty filter around on purpose? @val822 that's... kind of genius honestly, never crossed my mind. I just toss the old one and pray the new one fits right out of the box. Which, shockingly, has not worked out a few times. The specs on the box were totally wrong once. Now I feel like I've been doing this all wrong.
