Rant: Dropped $800 on a heat lamp for curing filler and it's been a total game changer... or a huge waste?
My buddy says it's overkill and you can just use a normal space heater, but the control and speed on this thing saved my butt on a tight deadline last week. Anyone got a cheaper method that works just as fast?

Dakota_singh39's warped MDF story is the perfect example. A space heater just blasts heat everywhere, but a real curing lamp gives you that focused, even heat you can't get otherwise. For tight deadlines, that control isn't just nice, it's what keeps the whole project from going sideways. You can't put a price on not having to redo a whole job.

That "not having to redo a whole job" part is what made me realize my old method was false economy.

My cheap space heater method once warped a whole sheet of MDF, so maybe that $800 was a bargain lol. If it saved your deadline, sounds like it did its job.
