Used to think I was wasting money on a spray gun cleaner

For years I just ran thinner through my Iwata after every job, figured those ultrasonic cleaners were just another upcharge tool. Then a buddy at a shop in Phoenix let me try his, and the amount of dried paint that came out of my old gun was disgusting. I could actually see the difference in how the fan pattern laid down on the next job. Anyone else notice less orange peel after switching to ultrasonic cleaning?

Yeah that "dried paint coming out" part got me, I was a skeptic too til I actually tried one.

My neighbor who's been painting cars since the 80s told me his ultrasonic cleaner paid for itself when it caught a chunk of dried paint in a needle before it scratched up a new paint job on a Corvette.
