Why does nobody talk about the hidden rust in the quarter panel of a 2012 Silverado?
I found a rusted inner structure behind the outer skin that took me three extra hours to cut out and weld in a new piece, which made a simple dent repair into a whole day job.

Man, you found that too? My buddy bought a 2012 a few years back that looked clean. He went to fix a little ding on the rear quarter and his jaw just dropped. The inside was totally brown and flaky, like a bad cookie. I mean, it was a way bigger job than he planned, just like you said. It seems like those trucks hide it really well until you start cutting.
