Decided between offset and pellet smoker for competition - went offset, regret it a bit
I had to pick between a Lang 84 Deluxe offset and a Yoder YS640 pellet for the Memphis BBQ contest in June. I went offset for the 'authentic' flavor but after 18 hours of babysitting fire in 95 degree heat, I'm wondering if the pellet was smarter. Anyone else make a similar choice and stick with it or switch back?
